Whole Person Development
The WPRA continually strives to improve the holistic development of its players/students, through exposing them to educational courses, Academic qualifications and skills transfer initiatives which are designed to achieve “Whole Person Development”.
Through our expanding number of partners, we design and offer a variety of Academic qualifications that will fit into the demanding schedule of a High-Performance Rugby Programme.
The exciting Academic qualifications offered ranges from Apprenticeship and Learnerships, Agricultural programmes and Sports Management qualifications – all of which give our students internationally recognized qualifications and set them up to enter the working world after their rugby career.
Our range of separate courses and workshops cover aspects of Sport Psychology, Nutrition, World Rugby Coaching (Level 1) and Refereeing (qualification), Rugby Safety (Boksmart course), Technical rugby analysis and Sports Conditioning/Anatomy/Nutrition.
Our Academic qualifications are offered by our two exciting academic partners- Africa Skills Village (ASV) and the Institute Of Sport (IOS). Through these well-established partnerships we keep the players/students intellectually stimulated so that they can continue furthering their education for life outside of rugby.
The types of qualifications offered are Apprenticeship and Learnerships (ASV), Agricultural programmes (ASV) and Sports Management (IOS).
