Western Province Rugby Academy (WPRA)
Following the enormous success of the Western Province Rugby Institute (WPRI) in Stellenbosch, Western Province Rugby has become synonymous with leading the way in recognising and developing the talent and all round skills and attributes required to become a world class athlete and rugby player.
The WPRA concept and facility has been created to accommodate for the many talented young rugby players that want the best possible chance for them to pursue a professional career in Rugby Union. WPRA provides the ideal platform for this by integrating the experience, expertise and systems of the WPRI, with the leading edge methods and Athlete Development program that is incorporated into the program. The WPRA is based at the Athlete Development Center (ADC) Campus in Claremont, Cape Town, South Africa.
The WPRA is situated at the Athlete Development Centre (ADC) in centrally located Claremont, Cape Town. The ADC is dedicated to helping all aspiring athletes reach their potential through a range of services and world leading technologies.
In an often over structured approach to rugby, many players have lost the ability to see space , communicate and execute their option’s correctly. With a high emphasis being placed on the skills required, our core focus is on the correct decision making in these respective areas.
Our service offering is a complete athlete development program encompassing all aspects of conditioning, psychology and analysis of each student.
